Ritchie is fine.
From this point forward, no one is allowed to be sick, get cancer, have an accident or otherwise require a hospitalization. Do you hear me? No one!
Ahem. *Gets a grip*
Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I can tell you about my wonderful Sunday.
I started the day by driving about 45 minutes to a small ferry town called Kingston. One of the silly landmarks we have is a group of chainsaw carvings (they’re really big up here… I’ll have to take more pictures). These carvings are at the local gas station. The salmon in jeans just kills me. I’ll make an effort to get around and take more pics of the other chainsaw carvings around here. Some are really impressive.
I hopped a ferry, which is always a wonderful way to start one’s day.

Christina, Libby, Marie and I met up at Village Yarn and Tea. This place is pretty small but, OMG do they have what I want!!
This is my first time meeting Marie in person but it feels like we’ve been corresponding for ages, mainly because she’s just the type of person I choose for a friend. In the below, from left to right, it’s Marie, Christina and Libby.

That pic is of us, post shopping spree. Er… my shopping spree. Everyone else was pretty well behaved. Christina picked up a Greensleeves Bare Bones drop spindle and some BFL from Fleece Artist as her new spinning endeavor. Yay, Christina! You know, she plied on her first time out. I did show her how but she plied many hours later and I went through it really quickly so I’m impressed. I think she just has a natural touch for fiber arts in general.
After having some tea, we drove over to Acorn Street for some more misbehaving on my part. I pushed pretty hard to go there because I knew they had a blocking board and it seemed a shame to not pick one up while I was already on that side of the water. Yay, blocking board!
These women made me laugh sooooo much and sooooo hard that I got a SERIOUS headache. I started getting whiny and saying that we needed to eat so we headed out to a local shopping center in the University District (University of Washington). Upon arriving, I was making a big deal about the fact that there were bronze cows out front of the restaurant. I’m big on cows. So, when we left, I made everyone sit on a cow.
I love this picture. No, they don’t all look the best but I think it pretty much sums up the day; lots of giggling.

These two needed no persuading to ride this little calf. This was entirely their doing. I, however, am always ready with a camera. Which means that you should probably think twice about how much you drink when you’re around me.

Alas, the day was over too soon and I headed into the city to catch my ferry home.
